Annual Banquet 2004
...
a huge success at every level.
This first event of the 2004 season, the Annual Banquet and
Autocross Awards gala, was a bit different than past years.
Yes, as usual we still had over 120 guests over to eat,
drink and socialize at the Mayfair Golf and Country Club.
But unlike past years, we also used the
opportunity to raise a little dough for a local charity
--- and raise funds we did. A phenomenal $14,580 was raised
for the Edmonton Garrison
Military Family Resource Centre through a
silent and live auction of items donated by the Edmonton
business community (»sponsors list below).

Of course, there are a number of folks we have to thank.
First and foremost, we thank our sponsors (»listed
below).
On behalf of Linda and Bill Bein, we thank
Norden for helping to
make their stay in Edmonton more enjoyable by providing a
Cayenne S to get them around.
Finally we thank Ruth Snyder, our indefatigable Social
Director. Without Ruth's planning and coordinating the event,
selling tickets, soliciting donations for the auction, picking up this and
delivering that, and tireless commitment to raising a
sizable donation for the Edmonton Garrison
Military Family Resource Centre, we could not possibly
have achieved such a wildly successful event.
And
here's that list of Silent and Live Auction Sponsors as promised,
each of whose donation we appreciate tremendously:
