To Glenmore Inn:
From Edmonton: Proceed south on Deerfoot Trail
(Hwy 2) to the Glenmore Trail exit. Head East
along Glenmore Trail about 3km. Turn left (north)
at the Ogden/Sheppard Rd intersection. The
Glenmore Inn is immediately on your right.
From Race City: Departing from the Race City
gates, turn right on 68th Street and immediately left
onto 114th Avenue S.E. Turn right at Barlow Trail
S.E., then left at Sheppard Road SE. Sheppard Road
becomes Ogden Road at Glenmore Trail. Continue
across Glenmore Trail onto
Ogden and the Glenmore Inn is immediately on your right.
To Race City:
From Edmonton: Head south on Deerfoot Trail
(Hwy 2). Take the Barlow Trail SE exit heading
North (left). Almost immediately after turning
onto Barlow, turn east (right) onto 114 Avenue SE. Turn
right (south) at 68 Street SE. You should now be
able to see the Race City gates on your left.
From Glenmore Inn: Turn left out of the
Glenmore Inn parking lot (heading south) onto Ogden.
Ogden becomes Sheppard Road when you cross Glenmore
Trail. Follow Sheppard Road until you reach Barlow
Trail. Head south on Barlow to 114th Avenue SE.
Turn left (east) onto 114th Avenue. Turn right
(south) at 68 St SE. You should now be able to see
Race City.
The road-track is
directly east of the entrance gate. After
signing the Race City release form at the gate, you must
report to the pit area by
using an active portion of the track. When
entering the track, yield to high-speed traffic on your
left, and turn hard right (staying tight along the right
wall) directly into the pit area.
Directions to gas stations:
There is no gas available at Race City or in the
immediate vicinity.
The highest octane fuel available is Mohawk's
Premium Plus 94 Octane, and it is sold at Southhill
Mohawk – directly across from the Glenmore Inn on the
southwest corner of Sheppard Road and Glenmore Trail
(also see »directions
to Glenmore Inn from Race City above).
However, Porsche advises
NOT to use Mohawk ethanol blended fuels in newer
Porsches. So, if Mohawk fuels are not to your car's
liking, there is an Esso located between Barlow Trail
and Sheppard Road on Glenmore Trail (just east of the
hotel).
You can also find a Petro Canada by heading West on
Glenmore Trail to 19 St. SE and turning South (left).
It's about 2 blocks down in the shopping centre.
With the proliferation of new developments to the south,
there are also gas stations in the McKenzie Lake and
Douglasdale subdivisions.
